Strategies & Tips

Key Strategies

1. Expose Hidden Cards First

Prioritize moves that reveal face-down cards in the tableau. The more cards you can see, the better decisions you can make.

2. Don’t Rush to the Foundation

While it’s tempting to move cards to the foundation immediately, sometimes keeping cards in the tableau gives you more flexibility for building sequences.

3. Build Evenly

Try to keep your foundation piles relatively even. Having one suit at King while another is at 3 can limit your options.

4. Empty Columns Are Valuable

Empty tableau columns can only hold Kings, but they’re incredibly useful for reorganizing cards. Don’t fill them hastily.

5. Consider Your Moves

Before moving a card, think about what it will expose and what options it will create. Sometimes the obvious move isn’t the best one.

Common Mistakes to Avoid

  • Moving cards to the foundation too quickly
  • Filling empty columns with the first available King
  • Ignoring the stock pile for too long
  • Not planning several moves ahead
