About Soliteur

Soliteur is a free-to-play solitaire collection featuring classic card games with a clean, modern interface.

This is a project I’ve been wanting to do for a few years now, but somehow I never found the time.

Available Games

Klondike - The classic solitaire game everyone knows. Build four foundation piles from Ace to King by suit, while arranging tableau cards in descending order with alternating colors. Variants include Draw 1, Draw 3, or Classic Draw 3-2-1, with unlimited, 3, or 5 passes through the stock.

Spider - Build eight complete sequences from King down to Ace. Cards can be stacked regardless of suit, but only same-suit sequences can be moved together. Choose from 1 Suit (Easy), 2 Suits (Medium), or 4 Suits (Hard).

Spiderette - A smaller, faster Spider with a Klondike-style deal. Plays like Spider but on a more compact table, making games quicker while retaining the same strategic depth. Standard and Relaxed difficulty options.

FreeCell - A strategic game where all 52 cards are dealt face-up. Use four free cells as temporary storage to help move cards to the foundations.

Baker’s Game - A close cousin of FreeCell with one rule change: tableau columns must be built down by suit instead of alternating colors. Same setup, considerably harder. Many positions that would be solvable in FreeCell are unsolvable here.

Golf - Clear the tableau by playing cards one rank higher or lower than the foundation card. Simple rules, but tricky to master. Variants include Standard, Relaxed (wrapping allowed), and Putt Putt.

Yukon - A challenging Klondike variant where all 52 cards are dealt to the tableau at the start. Move groups of cards freely without needing them to be in sequence. Choose from Easy (any card on empty piles, all face-up), Medium (all face-up), or Hard (hidden cards).

Will o’ the Wisp - A miniature Spider using a single deck and seven tableau piles. Considerably easier to win than Spider. Includes a Relaxed difficulty option that allows moving any descending group regardless of suit.

Australian Patience - A challenging combination of Klondike and Yukon where all tableau cards are dealt face-up and building is strictly by suit. Configurable stock passes (1 pass, 3 passes, or unlimited).

Simple Simon - A pure-skill Spider variant with all 52 cards dealt face-up and no stock. Every game is won or lost entirely by your decisions. Includes a Relaxed mode for easier play.

Daily Challenges

Three fresh FreeCell puzzles every day at Easy, Medium, and Hard difficulty levels. Each puzzle has a par score calculated by the solver, see how your move count compares to the optimal solution. Same puzzles for everyone worldwide, so you can compare results with friends.

Achievements

25 achievements across five categories, each with custom illustrated artwork. Track your progress from first win through to mastering every game type, building streaks, and conquering daily puzzles. Achievements are derived from your play history, so any you’ve already earned unlock automatically.

Soliteur runs on iPhone, iPad, Mac, and the web. The native app is a free download on the App Store, with a phone-optimized layout for iPhone and iCloud sync across all Apple devices. You can also play directly in your browser at soliteur.com/play.
