Data Management
Soliteur stores all your data locally in your browser. You can export this data to create backups or transfer your progress to another device.
What’s Included
Your exported data contains:
- Statistics — Win/loss records and high scores for all game types
- Saved Games — Any games in progress
- Daily Challenge Progress — Completed puzzles and scores
- Settings — Card style, colors, sound preferences, and other options
Exporting Your Data
To create a backup:
- Open Settings (gear icon)
- Click Export Data
- Save the downloaded file somewhere safe
The export creates a JSON file that you can store for backup or transfer to another device.
Importing Your Data
To restore from a backup:
- Open Settings (gear icon)
- Click Import Data
- Select your previously exported file
- Confirm the import
When you import data, you’ll be asked whether to merge with or replace your existing data. Merging preserves any progress not in the backup file.
Transferring Between Devices
To move your progress to a new device or browser:
- Export your data from the original device
- Transfer the file (email it to yourself, use cloud storage, etc.)
- Import the file on your new device
The export format is the same across all platforms, so you can freely transfer data between the web, macOS, and iOS versions of Soliteur.
iCloud Sync (macOS & iOS)
If you play Soliteur on both a Mac and an iPad, your data is automatically synced between devices using iCloud. This includes your settings, statistics, saved games, and daily challenge progress. As long as both devices are signed in to the same Apple ID with iCloud enabled, changes sync in the background without any manual steps.
macOS App
In the desktop app, you can also access data management from the File menu:
- File → Export Data — Save a backup
- File → Import Data — Restore from backup
